Our Cultural Communion | Vol. 1 | Inaugural Issue

This week I have been so busy with my team about the launch of the KDPM Equity Institute. We have been celebrating with a multi-day event centered on the Equity work, concepts and amazing people in the equity space.

Didn't catch the IG live this week about the launch? Watch it HERE

In addition to sharing with everyone about the institute, I also got the opportunity to announce a very special cause that is close to my heart. We are so pleased to announce our 1000 Black Women Best Project - we have a goal to certify 1000 black women in ancestral leadership through our Ubumuntu Fellowship Program.

On IG, Karlyn introduced the concept of Cultural Equity, and why it's a necessary component for the success of Equity work for organizations. By reframing the equity lens rooted in ancestral knowledge and wisdom, we can re-imagine JEDI work that doesn't continue to perpetuate systemic harm.

Check out the Post HERE to learn more about this foundational concept for KDPM Equity institute, and why we believe Cultural Equity is the Pathway to Human Equity.

Ultimately, a Cultural Equity Approach can better provide a psychologically safe environment for racialized employees, and a better working environment for everyone in an organization.
