The mean woman syndrome in these spaces disguised as politeness and advancing women must be studied. As cultural scientists, we must name these patterns and create alternative frameworks for authentic collaboration.
✨ Some people will talk a good game and take you for granted. Some will offer empty platitudes without actual support that will shift you forward. Watch out for those energy mongers. These interactions represent cultural exchanges where value is extracted without reciprocity—a dynamic that mirrors historical patterns of exploitation that we, as cultural explorers, must learn to recognize and redirect.
✨ Pour into the connections that feed your soul. Make discernment a skillset. Don't mistake proximity or empty platitudes from successful people or people who've been there from the beginning as a sign of support. Watch how people treat you after they've extracted whatever they needed from you and how they treat people without a "title."
